Meal Prep Sundays!

I love Meal Prep Sundays! The planning, the preparation all for that feeling of accomplishment and strength going into the next week. Sunday is the perfect day for meal prep, everyone is tired from the week so spending some time around the house is not a hard sell. The kids love to help cook or watch a movie with dad. I am usually done by noon so there is still plenty of time to get outside. Contrary to popular belief, once you get the hang of Meal Prep Sundays, IT WILL NOT TAKE ALL DAY!

I started meal prepping about 6 years ago when I focused on calories intake. It was an easy way to keep track without feeling like I was constantly counting calories. Also, at that time, my husband was working out of town, living in a hotel room six days a week. Although his company gave him an allowance to eat out, this was an opportunity for us to save a ton of money. My meal prep Sundays have evolved over the years however there are some good old favorites.

One of my favorite tools to make Meal Prep Sundays easier is Amazon Prime Fresh. Check it out to see if it is available in your area. I always put my order in on Thursday or Friday to have delivered Sunday morning. That way all my groceries are fresh and ready to go for my morning cooking.

A few breakfast favorites include Traditional pancakes, eggs and bacon, breakfast burritos, Breakfast sandwiches, Refrigerator Oats, and good old-fashioned greek yogurt parfait.

A few lunch favorites include Garlic Chicken bowls, Beef Teryaki Bowls, Turkey taco Salads (made with my homemade Garden Salsa), and Roasted veggies with Israeli couscous.

All these recipes are easy, filling, cheap, and delicious. I hope you and your family enjoy.
