Garden Salsa

garden salsa recipe

Garden Salsa is one of my favorite recipes because it is so simple. Every year we love to create a summer garden. This summer our Tomatoes, cilantro, and Jalapenos were very happy! What better way to use these items than in salsa! Personally, I am a fan of restaurant-style salsa which makes this recipe even easier. Just dump it all in a blender and puree for a minute or two and you are good to go.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Additional Time 1 day
Total Time 1 day 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups fresh tomatoes
  • 5 jalapenos
  • 2 small or 1 large red or white onion
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 14.5oz can fire roasted diced tomatoes
  • 1 can roasted hatch green chilesĀ
  • 1/2 cup fresh chopped cilantro
  • Juice of 1-2 limes
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and puree for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Allow marinating in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours to allow flavors to combine.

Notes

This recipe is very easily personalized based on your comfort level with spice. Jalapeno, Garlic, Salt, and Pepper are all adjustable to taste.

This is the easiest garden salsa recipe. Just dump all ingredients in the food processor for a minute or two, marinate in the refrigerator overnight, and done!
